    After Optus launched merchandise named Mobile Boost and Internet Boost, Boost Mobile took exception to using the “Boost” title. Shortly after, an injunction was issued stopping Optus from utilizing the Boost title; nonetheless, that is solely a short-term measure.

Boost Tel had alleged that the launch of latest instruments by Optus beneath the names ‘Optus Internet Boost’ and ‘Optus Mobile Boost’ was an infringement of its commerce mark rights. Optus denies it engaged in any commerce mark infringement however for industrial causes it has determined to relaunch these instruments beneath completely different names. The phrases of settlement are confidential.
