Some solids might be stirred. Researchers have proven {that a} weird quantum state of matter that’s each a stable and a frictionless fluid on the similar time might be agitated, apparently making a collection of tiny vortices inside the fabric. The experiment is proof of the progress being made in understanding the unusual properties of so-called “supersolids”.
