Samsung is testing a 2x option for the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s portrait mode. The rumored mode was noticed by Ice universe in a check firmware for the S23 Ultra.

The 2x mode will use a 50MP crop from the 200MP primary digicam, which can then be introduced right down to 12MP. It joins the 1x and 3x choices – the first utilizing the primary sensor, and the latter utilizing the native 3x digicam. Those are round 23mm and 70mm, including a 2x with a few 50mm equal will end in extra flattering portraits.

The replace is reportedly some 1.5GBs in dimension and is being finalized for launch someday by the finish of May or the starting of June. It will carry basic enhancements to the cameras. No phrase but on whether or not Samsung will carry a 2x portrait mode option to different premium Galaxy telephones.
