    An uncommon variety of water wave can repeatedly toss a water droplet into the air thousands of times with out breaking it.

    For the previous decade, Nicolas Mujica on the University of Chile and his collaborators have been learning how wave patterns emerge on the floor of water when it’s shaken or in any other case disturbed.
