The unexpectedly highly effective mild from the brightest space explosion ever seen could mean that space is more transparent than we thought.
Last yr, astronomers witnessed a flash of gamma rays that was brighter than something they’d beforehand measured. By evaluating it with different gamma ray bursts, researchers estimated that such a vivid occasion would occur solely as soon as each 10,000 years.
