Renowned French designer Philippe Starck has collaborated with HRS, a number one European designer and producer of hydrogen stations, to create an progressive hydrogen refueling station. Revealed on the COP28 local weather summit in Dubai, the design emphasizes a futuristic and almost invisible aesthetic, aiming to underscore the “nothingness” of hydrogen, a colorless fuel that serves as a substitute for conventional fossil fuels.

The HRS by Starck incorporates a mirror-polished stainless-steel casing and dichroic glass, contributing to its futuristic look. Designed to be modular and scalable, HRS’s high-capacity refueling stations can dispense hydrogen fuel for quite a lot of autos, together with automobiles, HGVs, buses, boats, trains, and development equipment. The stations are stuffed with extremely compressed hydrogen fuel, saved and cooled to be disbursed by means of outlet factors, accommodating two stress settings (350 bar and 700 bar) for compatibility with varied autos.

Starck describes HRS by Starck as “elegant and intelligent energy” in service of hydrogen, designed to serve each individuals and the long run. The prototype is predicted to be operational in 2024, with the dispensers put in at varied areas throughout Europe.
