    An odd galaxy in the early universe lived quick and died young. It is the most distant “dead” galaxy, which means it’s not forming any new stars, ever noticed.

    The galaxy JADES-GS+53.15508-27.80178 was found in 2010, however astronomers at the time weren’t capable of characterise it in element.
